Close-up Table

Standard Dining Table with Ten Chairs

A Standard 72" or 60" Round Dining Table. The table should be table cloth draped and skirted. The larger 72" table is the preferred choice. This table is used for close-up sleight of hand entertainment before or after the formal mind reading program.

Ten Chairs. The chairs should be placed around the table. One chair is for the performer and nine chairs are for the first guests who arrive. All other people simply gather around and can easily see over the seated spectators because of the large round table area.

Two Small Plastic Milk Crates. These are placed under the table with an extra table cloth over them to form a "table" under the table. All the magical props are placed on these crates under the table and out of the view of the audience.

Overhead Lighting. Please position the table under the strongest overhead light preferably in the corner of the room away from the bar or high traffic areas. The lighting should completely illuminate the surface of the table top. If no overhead lighting is available some form of portable overhead lighting pointing towards the table top is required. A physical light fixture cannot be placed directly on the table.

Table Positioning. Please position the table in one of the four corners of the room away from the bar or high traffic areas.
